~growls~ Charming  I will hurt you.

Come on now, Rubes. There’s no reason to be violent, now. Though, you are no longer free of the cutesy torment you lay on me and Snow.

~does a smirk that would do Regina proud~ who mentioned violence, Charming? Shush I will still torment you.

You did. “Hurt” is a reference, you know. And “I will hurt you” is a threat. Implicating violence. :P And now we’re going to torment you.

: Enchanting.: Costs of Happiness

enchantedsnowwhite:

She looked at him and stepped in front of him reaching her hand in his front pocket. she smiled as she looked at him. She knew that she would be content if they spent the whole weekend talking, getting to know each other again. Ever since she had saved his life she hadn’t been able to get him out of her head. The connection was there and it was undeniably strong and unwavering. It coursed their veins. She enjoyed the visits at the hospital when she was on her rounds but she loved it even more when she wasn’t on her rounds and they could walk outside.

She would fall asleep to dreams of him, his smile, his laugh, his eyes. She unlocked the door and opened the door. It was just as she had remembered when they had gotten stuck there during the storm. She felt like this could really be their place, their place together if that was what they both wanted. She took off her coat as it was wet from the snow. She closed the door behind him so they wouldn’t let any more cold air into the cabin. It was nice and secluded but something, something felt familiar about it. Maybe she had been there before all of this. She couldn’t shake the eerie feeling that this place held more than just the memories that they were going to be making.

“Why don’t you put those down? Get us a fire going.” She suggested as she looked at him. Her thoughts were unrestricted. She didn’t have to worry if they were right or wrong. She knew what she felt for him and the fact that they were alone together, in the woods, away from everyone, away from the noises of Storybrooke and away from her roommate who didn’t care too much for David and from Regina who was hell bent on destroying any happiness that Mary found especially any happiness with David but that wasn’t on her mind. Her mind was on him and only him.

Finally let inside, the air in the cabin was still chilled far too much for his body’s liking. At least the walls surrounding them now shielded them from winter’s bitter breath. Moving towards the makeshift sofa sitting a few feet from the fire, he set their bags upon one end. Removing his coat, he took hers and placed them both on a coat rack to hang dry. Rubbing his hands together, he bumped shoulders with her as he glided on by, sights set on the fireplace. “What? You don’t trust me to, keep you warm?”

Knees cracking as he knelt, he shot her a playful look over his shoulder before seeing to the logs still laying in the pit from their last visit. Stacking a few more pieces of wood, he fished the matches he’d got from Granny’s out of his pocket, setting the hearth ablaze with warm glowing light. “That should be enough for now.” he stated, bringing himself to his feet. He knew Mary was watching him, and he wondered if she were waiting for him to make a move. Prolonging the anticipation, he pushed the coffee table towards the sofa, giving them the carpet. Grabbing the blanket that came with the cabin, he spread it out over the carpet and then retrieved their own bedding. Setting them up a nice cozy spot in front of the fire.

Kicking off his shoes, David paused to look at his company for the weekend. She looked frozen, and he couldn’t help but cross the short space between them, taking her hands in his. Walking backwards, he lead her in front of the fire. “Better?” he inquired, leaning in to kiss her lips softly. Slowly he traced her damp skin, moving along her jaw, down the side of her neck. “We really ought to get you out of these wet clothes,” he murmured, voice thick with desire.

She shook her head. She didn’t come all this way to get sick and if either one of them got sick then they wouldn’t have much satisfication out of their weekend together. It was cold. She wouldn’t mind taking care of him just like she knew that he would take care of her. She laughed. “Well so are you.” She said as she looked at him. She wanted them both to enjoy the weekend without interruption.

She smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She let out a light moan feeling him kissing just beneath her ear. She quickly nodded her head. They needed to be warm. She smiled as he took her hand in his as they walked out of the woods ana back to his truck. She walked towards the cabin watching him. It was different. A nice change of pace for her. Normally she would have carried her own bags but here he was carrying them. She smiled as she looked at him. Thoughts of how they could get warm together was running wildly in her mind. She knew that they didn’t have to show restraint unless either one of them requested it from the other. “Where’s the key?’

His eyes barely left Mary as they walked towards the cabin, the snow jostled from his hair and shoulders as he stepped up onto the porch. Tiny white puffs of smoke left with his breath, and he couldn’t help but think he’d be completely content if they just spent the weekend chatting. There were more than enough ways of keeping warm that didn’t involve losing their clothes, however, most of him was hoping for the latter. Ever since she’d rescued him from the stream beneath the toll bridge, and he awoke to see her emerald eyes staring down hopefully at him, he’d been unable to keep her out of his mind. He knew her. He’d known her, and he knew he was forgetting something because they fit together too perfectly.

Each visit to the hospital, whenever she were on her rounds and would stop by to keep him company before Kathryn came waltzing in uninvited, David would fall asleep that night with dreams filled to the brink with Mary Margaret and her contagious smile. Ears burning, he knew some of his dreams weren’t exactly appropriate, especially not for their previous relationship. But now…

Jerking from his thoughts, his brows rose as she asked about the key. “The key? Oh, you might need to give me a hand with that.” he chuckled, shrugging his arms which carried both suitcases, the other strapped around his back. “Key’s in my front pocket.” He directed.
